It all begins with an idea.
With this design for the kitchen. the pattern was thought out to draw the eye and give a slightly more modern feel to the kitchen providing a quality functional finish. The walls began very uneven so needed a very heavy sand before a layer of primer was applied, followed by the top colour to give an even finish. Once the walls were painted, the tile layup began fitting around the existing sockets and cabinets. This provided the perfect splashback to protect against water and grease damage behind the sink and hob.
How we started this project.
Removal of cupboards and cooker hood.
Once the shelves were taken down and the holes filled this section of wall was heavily sanded due to the unevenness and the bad finish previously.
Once all the prep work had been undertaken the counters were covered with protection and then the topcoat of the wall was applied. (The first coat pictured)
Initial tile pattern layup.
Finished tile layup and completed trim. Hob has been removed for the installation of an induction hob.
